At the beginning, I wanted to learn Crossfit for my personal growth. As I pursued this journey in my 30s to become healthier, I began to reflect on my roots. I discovered that many of the most important pillars in my family didn’t know they had a chance to fight diseases. In these pictures, you’ll see my beloved ones who lost their battles against cancer, coronary heart disease, and high blood pressure. Learning about what happens to your body after 45 when you lack a foundation for a healthier lifestyle made me realize that many people still don’t know we can extend our lifespan. Training individuals aged 55+ and focusing on longevity and strength brings me immense joy. Certifying for The Aging Athlete and learning how to help them add more years to their health has been incredibly rewarding. This is for those who are no longer with me, who lost their battle while striving for better health, and for those who give me the chance to be part of their wellness journey.
